In 2014 Garth announced that he would return to Dublin to play five nights at Croke Park Stadium. This was to become one of the biggest live music events ever to take place in Dublin city with over 400,000 tickets sold! Unfortunately due to protests from local resident groups and politics over planning applications, all five concerts were cancelled at the last minute.
To cater for the thousands of Garth fans that had already booked hotels etc in the city we decided to put on a large open air concert of our own in association with Dublin's biggest radio station- 98FM at the infamous Dalymount Park football stadium. All proceeds would go to Temple St. Childerns Hospital and Bohemians Football Club (who use the football grounds, and at the time was on the verge of being closed down due to lack of funding). The event was a major success with fans from all over the Ireland, and indeed the world, decending on the football grounds , coming together to celebrate the music of Garth Brooks - and all for a great cause!
